New Restaurant and Marina Planned for WNYC Transmitter Park

WNYC Transmitter Park is set to undergo a transformation that will introduce both a new restaurant and a marina to the Greenpoint waterfront. According to reports, local industry veterans Josh Cohen and David Schmitt are currently coordinating with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation to finalize the project.

The development is expected to operate under a 25-year license agreement, which would grant the partners responsibility for the construction, ongoing maintenance, and daily operations of both the dining facility and the boat docking area. While the project is moving forward, specific details regarding the branding and naming of the restaurant have not yet been established.

In addition to the commercial components, the plans for the marina include the introduction of free public programming. This initiative aims to integrate the new infrastructure into the existing community space at the park.
