Three Teenagers Hospitalized Following Late-Night Shooting in New Lots

Authorities are investigating a shooting that left three teenagers injured outside a McDonald’s restaurant in the New Lots section of Brooklyn late Sunday night.

According to the NYPD, officers from the 75th Precinct responded to reports of gunfire at 835 Pennsylvania Avenue, situated between Stanley Avenue and Linden Boulevard, shortly before midnight on July 20. Upon arrival, responders discovered a 17-year-old girl suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his face. A third victim, an 18-year-old male, sustained facial lacerations after falling during the incident.

All three individuals were transported to Brookdale Hospital. Medical staff expect all three victims to survive their injuries.

Investigators recovered shell casings from the scene and are currently reviewing local security camera footage in an effort to identify the shooter. As of Monday, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the violence remains unclear.

While the 75th Precinct has seen a 9.1% increase in shooting incidents this year as of July 12, the total number of shooting victims in the area has declined by 6.9% compared to previous data.
