Two Teens in Custody Following Collision with Police Vehicle in Queens
A motorized scooter and an NYPD cruiser collided Thursday evening, resulting in hospitalizations for both the riders and the officers involved.

Two 14-year-old boys were taken into police custody on Thursday evening following a collision between their motorized scooter and an NYPD patrol vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 101st Street and Northern Boulevard in Queens.
According to reports, the police vehicle was traveling eastbound on Northern Boulevard when it struck the scooter, which was moving in the westbound direction. Following the impact, the two teenagers were transported to Elmhurst Hospital. Two NYPD officers involved in the crash were also taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens for medical evaluation.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the current medical status of the individuals involved. While the investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing, reports suggest the scooter may have been connected to an earlier incident in the area. Law enforcement officials have not provided further details regarding the nature of that prior event.
