Investigation Underway After Stabbing at Canarsie Housing Complex

A 34-year-old man was hospitalized following a violent assault in Brooklyn on Monday afternoon.

A 34-year-old man was transported to Brookdale Medical Center on Monday afternoon after being stabbed multiple times in the chest, back, and stomach. The assault took place shortly after 2 p.m. outside the NYCHA Bayview Houses, located near the intersection of Shore Parkway and Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie.

According to reports from the scene, a trail of blood extended for approximately one block, terminating near a vehicle parked on Rockaway Parkway. While the victim’s injuries were severe, medical personnel expect him to survive.

As of late Monday, no suspects had been taken into custody. Law enforcement sources indicated that the victim has not been cooperative with the ongoing police investigation, leaving the motive for the attack unclear. Authorities have not released the identity of the individual involved.
