Authorities Investigate Late-Night Shooting at Rochelle Park Residence
Local police and county officials are searching for leads after a vehicle-based shooting targeted a home on Crescent Avenue.
Law enforcement officials in Bergen County are actively investigating a shooting that occurred late Monday night at a private residence in Rochelle Park.
According to the Rochelle Park Police Department, officers were dispatched to 25 Crescent Ave. at approximately 10:35 p.m. on July 27 following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, investigators determined that multiple rounds had been discharged at the home from a four-door sedan.
The Rochelle Park Police Department’s Detective Bureau is currently leading the inquiry. They are receiving support from the Bergen County Sheriff's Office Bureau of Criminal Identification and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Additionally, police units from the neighboring communities of Maywood and Paramus provided assistance at the scene.
As of Tuesday afternoon, authorities have not disclosed information regarding potential injuries, the identity of any suspects, or a possible motive for the attack. The investigation remains active, and officials are requesting that anyone with relevant information contact the Rochelle Park Police Department.
