Water Damage Delays Debut of Rabbit Books and Bar

The highly anticipated grand opening of Rabbit Books and Bar has been put on hold indefinitely. Owners Marianna Vaidman Stone and Emily Samara Stone announced the postponement following significant rainfall on Saturday, July 18, which resulted in a leak within the establishment's ceiling.

In a statement shared via social media, the proprietors described the leak as an "unexpected water feature" that necessitated immediate repairs. While the team expressed appreciation for the community's ongoing support and enthusiasm for the new venture, they confirmed that the facility is not yet ready to welcome customers.

Located at 170 Avenue A at 11th Street, the independent bookstore and café serves as a new addition to the neighborhood's retail landscape. As of this week, the owners have not provided a revised schedule for the grand opening. Further updates regarding a new launch date are expected to be released by the business as repair work progresses.
