Authorities are searching for 24-year-old Luis Aguero following a deadly altercation at a Fordham Heights lounge.
Law enforcement officials have identified 24-year-old Bronx resident Luis Aguero as the primary suspect in the killing of 29-year-old DJ Yeimy Reyes. The shooting took place at approximately 4:26 a.m. on July 16 at the M Lounge, situated at 2362 Jerome Ave. in Fordham Heights.
According to police reports, the encounter began as an altercation between the two men in the establishment's basement. Investigators allege that during the dispute, Reyes produced a handgun from his waistband. Authorities claim that Aguero subsequently shot Reyes in the head before fleeing the scene with both the victim’s firearm and his watch.
Emergency medical personnel arrived at the lounge shortly after the shooting, but Reyes was pronounced dead at the location. The victim was a well-known figure in the local music scene, maintaining a significant following on SoundCloud.

As of late July, his current whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities are actively seeking information from the public.
The shooting occurs amid a period of heightened violence within the 46th Precinct. Official data from mid-July shows that homicides in the precinct have risen by 166.7% compared to the same period in 2025, with eight recorded murders this year compared to three at the same point last year.
