The New York Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying three individuals involved in an armed robbery at a Nomad cocktail bar last month. According to law enforcement, the incident took place at Obvio, located at 3 East 28th Street, during the early morning hours of July 13.

Investigators report that the three suspects entered the establishment around 4 a.m., approximately five hours after the venue had closed for the night. Two employees, aged 38 and 43, were confronted by the group, with one suspect reportedly brandishing a black pistol equipped with an extended magazine. The staff members were subsequently forced into separate restrooms, where their hands were bound using tape and electrical cords.

Once the employees were restrained, the perpetrators allegedly removed a safe containing $7,000 in cash. Additionally, the suspects reportedly made off with approximately $7,000 worth of liquor and DJ equipment valued at an estimated $13,000. While both victims sustained minor redness to their wrists from the restraints, they declined medical treatment at the scene.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspects, who were observed wearing all-black clothing and masks during the robbery. One individual was captured on camera without a mask while walking in the vicinity of the bar, carrying a black backpack. As of early August, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active under the 13th Precinct.

While this specific incident remains under investigation, official data indicates that robberies within the 13th Precinct have seen a 21% decline year-to-date compared to the same period in 2025.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted via the department’s online portal or through their official social media channels. All communications are handled confidentially.
