A new dining option has arrived in Williamsburg with the opening of Lamonte Pizza at 558 Driggs Avenue. The shop, which specializes in pizza and Argentinian empanadas, is operated by the same management team behind Lamonte, the bistro and cocktail bar located at 557 Driggs Avenue.

According to owner Victor Ridi, the expansion was viewed as a logical progression for the business. Ridi noted that after establishing the original bistro as a neighborhood fixture, the team identified an opportunity to grow their footprint by opening a second location directly across the street.

The new pizzeria joins a busy corridor near the Bedford Avenue L train station, adding to the area's diverse food offerings. While the original Lamonte location has served as a sit-down destination for cocktails and bistro fare, the new storefront focuses on a more casual menu featuring traditional Argentinian empanadas alongside pizza.

Management has indicated that the decision to open at this specific address was driven by a desire to further integrate their brand into the local community. The opening marks a notable expansion for the group, which has operated in the immediate vicinity for some time. Residents and commuters passing through the Bedford L area can now find the new shop open for business at its Driggs Avenue location.
