Fatal Collision Claims Life of E-Scooter Rider on Upper West Side

A 49-year-old woman was killed in a traffic collision on the Upper West Side on Thursday morning, according to local law enforcement. The incident occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m. at the intersection of Amsterdam Avenue and West 60th Street.

Police reported that the woman was traveling northbound on an electric scooter when she was struck by a Tesla moving westbound on West 60th Street. Emergency responders transported the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside in critical condition, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old man, remained at the scene following the collision. As of Thursday evening, no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
