Authorities Investigate Infant Death in Borough Park

Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of a two-month-old girl discovered unresponsive at a Brooklyn property.

The New York City Police Department has launched an investigation following the death of a two-month-old girl in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at a property situated on 48th Street. Upon arrival, the child was found to be unconscious. While the building features signage indicating the presence of a day care facility, authorities have not yet clarified whether the infant was located within the day care premises or in a separate residential unit at the same address.

The investigation remains in its early stages. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is expected to conduct an examination to determine the official cause of death. No further details regarding the circumstances of the incident have been released by officials at this time.
